Pakistan, Jan. 22 -- US Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Alice Wells Tuesday stressed the need for increasing mutual cooperation in renewable energy with much focus on wind energy.

The US envoy, who called on Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Petroleum Nadeem Babar, endorsed future energy cooperation between and the United States and Pakistan.

Accompanied by US Ambassador to Pakistan Paul Jones, Alice Wells also got insight into the energy sector of Pakistan, a Petroleum Division press release said.
