Pakistan, July 11 -- The Ministry of Planning and Development on Friday sought proposals from the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) regarding the proposed special economic zone (SEZ) to be set up in Islamabad under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework.

An ICCI delegation, led by its President Muhammad Ahmed Waheed, called on Planning & Development Secretary Mathar Niaz Rana to discuss various proposals for the promotion of industrialization in the region.

Welcoming the delegation, Rana briefed the ICCI members about various initiatives of his ministry and shared the details of CPEC projects that offered a lucrative opportunity for joint ventures and investment to the private sector.
