Pakistan, July 11 -- Advisor to the Prime Minister (PM) on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood on Friday said that the government is considering export of surgical masks and will allow export once more authentic data regarding their availability in the domestic market emerges.

"Export of surgical masks is under consideration and a meeting was held today at the Ministry of Commerce (MOC). Once more authentic data about availability of surgical masks is determined then exports will be allowed…," the adviser to the PM said on Twitter.

He further urged the exporters to wait for a few more weeks until such data emerges so that the government can take an informed decision regarding export of surgical masks.
