Dhaka, March 23 -- The World Health Organisation (WHO) is keen to support Bangladesh in the capacity building of physicians and other health professionals.

The WHO also expressed its desire to assist Bangladesh in righteously dealing with climate change-related diseases and acquire universal health coverage.

Regional Director of WHO South-East Asia Region Saima Wazed has shown the keenness while paying a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhabhan in Dhaka on Friday night.

"The WHO has expressed its willingness to support Bangladesh, particularly in training for capacity building of physicians and other health-related professionals," Nazrul said.
