Dhaka, April 4 -- Season's first nor'wester lashed the capital and elsewhere in the country on Sunday killing four people and disrupting normal life.

The nor'wester hit the capital around 6:20pm with gusts of wind and rain causing sufferings for the city dwellers specially those who were going back to their houses from work.

It also caused power outage in different part of the city.

People, who were leaving Dhaka ahead of the lockdown, suffered a lot due to the sudden storm. Traffic was disrupted in some parts of city.

According to Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), wind speed rose up to 64 kmph in Dhaka while it reached 62 kmph in Rajshahi and 48 kmph in Rajshahi.
