Dhaka, Feb. 27 -- The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has ruled that the private universities of the country will have to pay 15 per cent tax on their income.

A bench led by Judge Borhan Uddin of the Appellate Division passed the order on Tuesday, report agencies.

Attorney General AM Amin Uddin stood for the state, while senior advocate AF Hassan Ariff appeared for the petitioner.
