Bangladesh, Oct. 18 -- The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on Thursday cleared the way for holding the election of the executive committee of "Chandni Chawk Business Forum".
A four-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain dismissed a leave to appeal petition filed against the High Court order that stayed a trial court order issuing injunction on holding the election of the executive committee of the business forum.
The election was scheduled to be held on September 24, 2019. Now the election commission, formed for holding the poll, can declare the new schedule, said advocate A M Aminuddin.
