Dhaka, April 15 -- The scorching heat wave persisting across the country has exacerbated the suffering of people even further.

According to the latest bulletin from the Meteorological Department at 6:00 pm, isolated spots in three divisions may experience light rainfall within the next twenty-four hours, but the rest of the areas in the country will remain dry.

Since the last week of March, the relentless heat has gripped the nation, showing no signs of letting up.

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) announced on Monday morning that this heat wave could extend for another five to six days.

Moreover, the humidity in the air might exacerbate the sensation of heat.
