Bangladesh, March 22 -- Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina provided financial assistance of Tk 20.7 million (2.07 crore) on Thursday to 10 individuals to meet the expenses of their medical treatment and livelihood.
The Prime Minister handed over the cheques for the financial assistance to them and their family members at her office.
Those who received the financial assistance include freedom fighters, political and cultural activists as well as one who was injured in the 21st August grenade attack.
PM's Speech Writer Md Nazrul Islam briefed reporters after the distribution of the cheques.
