Bangladesh, July 20 -- On July 17, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the government is planning to introduce electric and high-speed trains in the country so as to make the railway services better and faster.
The UNB quoted her as saying, "We've a plan to generate more electricity as we're now producing 22,000 MW...we'll be able to introduce electric trains in near future...we'll set up rail lines for remote areas as well to introduce speedy trains for easier communications".
This is indeed a great idea. Train fares are cheap when compared with fares of other transports. Also, as the trains have their own tracks, there is usually no fear of traffic congestion leading to delays, as is the case with long-distance buses and trucks. So p...
