Bangladesh, Oct. 23 -- A young man died of dengue in Khulna while 143 more people have been infected with the mosquito-borne disease across the country.
The new death was recorded on Tuesday evening while the fresh infections in 24 hours till Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sajib Khan, 22, son of Sayeed Khan of the Putibari area of Gopalganj Sadar upazila.
Dr Sailendranath Biswas, resident physician of Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH), said Sajib was admitted to the KMCH around 12pm on Tuesday and he died around 6pm.
Of the newly detected dengue patients, 79 were hospitalised in Dhaka.
