Dhaka, Oct. 23 -- Agriculture Minister Abdur Razzaque on Friday said that no one in the country is facing starvation amid the coronavirus pandemic thanks to the agriculture-friendly policy of the prime minister.

He came up with the remarks while addressing a programme at Diploma Krishibid Institution in Dhaka, reports UNB.

"The country witnessed unprecedented advancement in agriculture and food production due to the farmer and agriculture-friendly policy of the government," he said.

Farmers are the front-row soldiers for the agricultural development of the country, he said, adding: "Diploma agriculturists are also frontline soldiers just like farmers. They have great contributions."
