Dhaka, Jan. 23 -- A mild cold wave is sweeping over the regions of Rangamati, Srimangal and Panchagarh, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

The weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 9:00 am today, the BMD said in a weather forecast this morning.

In its 24-hour forecast, the Met Office said moderate to thick fog may occur over the country during midnight to morning,

However, in its weather outlook for the next 72 hours, the Met Office said night temperature may rise.

Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining area, the Met Office says its forecast valid for 24 hours, adding that seasonal low lies over South Bay.
