Dhaka, April 16 -- The Labour Appellate Tribunal in Dhaka on Tuesday extended the bail of Nobel laureate Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus, also the chairman of Grameen Telecom, and three other officials of the organisation till May 23 in a labour law violation case.

They were sentenced to six months jail in the case filed by the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE).

Earlier on the day, Muhammad Yunus and other accused appeared before the Labour Appellate Tribunal to seek permanent bail in the labour law violation case, local news portals said.
