Bangladesh, Nov. 22 -- The Bangladesh Bank's circular confirming that a 2.0 per cent incentive will be immediately provided for remitting Tk 150,000 is an encouraging step for the expatiate Bangladeshis. Also, the relaxation of procedure for receipt of incentives for sending higher amount would increase flow of remittances through formal channels.
However, for increasing income of the workers, the country needs to train people with skills that are required for securing jobs abroad. Staying away from home, we understand the workers need such skills and financial strength also to do something income generating on return to the country.
