Bangladesh, Jan. 17 -- The Khulna unit of Institution Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) has paid the total amount of money for a chunk of land allocated to them by the Khulna Development Authority (KDA) in 2011.
IEB Khulna Centre Chairman Engineer Md Shafiq Uddin and Secretary Dr. Engineer Sobahan Mia handed over a cheque for Tk 23 million (Tk 2.3 crore) as total value of the allocated land to KDA Chairman Brigadier General Md Abdul Mukim Sarkar at a simple ceremony on Wednesday.
The KDA will immediately transfer the plot to the IEB, Khulna Centre, through a registry document, the release said. It may be mentioned that KDA allotted the plot No. 235 with 16.32 katha on MA Bari Road in the southwestern divisional city on November 11 in 2011.
