Bangladesh, Oct. 21 -- The High Court (HC) summoned on Sunday the investigation officer (IO) of journalist couple Sagar-Runi murder case to appear before it within November 06 to explain why investigation into the case has not been completed even after seven years of the murder.
The HC bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Md Mostafizur Rahman passed the order following a petition filed by Tanvir, an accused in the case, said Deputy Attorney General Sarwar Hossain Bappi.
The court also issued a rule asking the government to explain as to why the proceedings of the case should not be quashed.
Advocate Fawzia Karim Firoz stood for the accused.
