Dhaka, April 27 -- This year's hajj flights are going to start in early May.

The first flight with the pilgrims will leave Dhaka for Saudi Arabia on May 9, said Dhaka Hajj Office Director Muhammad Kamruzzaman on Saturday.

He, however, said the full schedule has not yet been prepared.

The pilgrims will be informed once it gets readied, the hajj office director added.

A total of 83,202 people are to perform hajj this year.
