Bangladesh, July 17 -- Flood condition in the country's different districts deteriorated further on Tuesday following spells of downpour and onrush of water from the neighbouring country.

The flood has so far hit a total of nineteen districts, and is likely to affect four more districts in the next twenty-four hours, said the state-run Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) in its evening update on Tuesday.

Water-level rose further at 63 points of 61 rivers on the day. Thirteen rivers in 23 points across the country were flowing 21 cm to 106 cm over the danger level.

Teesta river was flowing below the danger mark on Monday. But, its water flow increased, and touched the danger level at 3:00 pm on Tuesday.
