Dhaka, March 24 -- Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has said they will not allow long-haul inter-district buses to take passengers from roads in the capital city.

In a set of directives issued on Friday, the traffic division said long-distance buses will not be allowed to ply without a route permit, reports BSS.

The traffic directives were issued for the smooth movement of city dwellers on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

"No passenger buses will be allowed to pick passengers from roads adjacent to district bus terminals in the capital city," it said.
