Dhaka, Sept. 27 -- The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 46 people in Dhaka in a regular anti-narcotic drive on the charges of selling and consuming illegal drugs.

Different police stations under the DMP conducted the drives and arrested the suspected offenders from different areas of the capital in the last 24 hours ending at 6:00am on Sunday.

The law enforcers also seized 617 pieces of yaba, 105 grams of heroin and 5.200 kilogrammes of cannabis, from the suspects' custody, according to a DMP statement.

A total of 26 cases were filed under the Narcotic Control Act against the suspects with the concerned police stations in the city.
