Dhaka, April 2 -- General students of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) protesting against the resumption of politics on the campus have written an open letter to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina requesting that the BUET campus be kept excluded from student politics even if it needs to amend the law.

"[Honouarble] Prime Minister, it is our earnest request to you that you implement the dream that the greatest Bengali of all time had about BUET and the policy that he adopted to keep BUET out of student politics, even if it needs to amend the law," they said while reading out the letter at a press conference in front of the BUET Administrative Building around 6:00 pm on Tuesday.
