Bangladesh, June 26 -- Information Minister and Awami League Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud said on Tuesday Bogura by-polls had proven that fair and neutral elections are possible using electronic voting machines (EVMs).
"Under the incumbent government, all elections were held in a fair and neutral manner. Hopefully, BNP will not say anything more against use of EVMs in polls," he told newsmen after attending a meeting of the Bangabandhu's birth centenary celebration national implementation committee at International Mother Language Institute in the city.
Hasan congratulated BNP for winning the by-election to Bogura-6 constituency. BNP candidate Golam Mohammad Siraj won the polls on Monday.
