Dhaka, Nov. 28 -- The country's third largest mobile network operator Banglalink added 890,000 subscribers in October, thanks to, among other reasons, lucrative offers for the streaming of Fifa World Cup.

With the new addition, the subscribers base of Banglalink reached 39.23 million from 38.34 million in September," the latest data shows.

All three other MNOs have lost subscribers base in the month, according to the latest data released by Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

The BTRC data shows a big jump by Banglalink took the total numbers of the country's mobile users to 181.67 million from 181.43 million in September, despite the loss of subscribers by three operators.
