Dhaka, July 25 -- Bangladesh sought financial support for the climate vulnerable countries at a ministerial-level meeting, in London, to ensure effective adaptation actions.

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md. Shahab Uddin said at the meeting that long-term and adequate financial support is a prerequisite for achieving the global goal on adaptation (GGA).

He said both technical and financial support are needed to be provided to the most vulnerable developing countries for the effective implementation of prioritised adaptation actions.

The minister said this while addressing the plenary session of "The July Ministerial" of the COP 26 Presidency held Sunday, according to the ministry.
