Dhaka, Nov. 27 -- The government has selected 67 non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) to honour them with the CIP (commercially important person) status for the year 2020 for their contribution to the country's economy.

The Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment has sent a final list to the cabinet division for consideration.

The NRB CIPs are selected under three categories - extraordinary performance and contribution by sending US$0.1 million in remittances, $0.3 million investment to Bangladeshi industries, and importing $0.3 million worth Bangladeshi products to foreign countries.
