Dhaka, Feb. 23 -- ALOHA Bangladesh organised its 16th National Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition 2024 on Friday in Dhaka's Bashundhara International Convention City (ICCB). The day-long competition, one of its kind in Bangladesh, was participated by 2700 children from over 600 schools across Bangladesh, according to a media statement.

ALOHA Bangladesh has been organising such competitions in Bangladesh since 2008.

The objective of this competition was to test the speed and accuracy of the children. The participants were asked to solve 70 complex sums in a span of five minutes, and the majority of the students solved those problems with 100 per cent accuracy within the set time.
