New Delhi, Oct. 8 -- In the UK, as everywhere else in the world, motorists in training need to take a theory test to prove they understand the rules of the road and proper driving practices if they want to operate a vehicle legally. To pass it, one has to get a score of 86%, which means answering at least 43 out of 50 multiple-choice questions correctly. The test was introduced in the UK in 1996, prior to which applicants only had to take and pass a practical test to get their driving license.
