Rome -Italy's prime minister, Giorgia Meloni, said this week that a complaint filed at the International Criminal Court accuses her of complicity in genocide for her government's support of Israel during the war in Gaza, a sharp escalation that drags Rome's policy into an expanding fight over accountability. In a televised interview, she said she had been "denounced" to prosecutors in The Hague and named Defense Minister Guido Crosetto and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani as co targets, adding that Roberto Cingolani, the head of the state linked defense and aerospace group Leonardo, might also be included.
