New Delhi, March 13 -- The Uttarakhand high court on Monday ruled that theofchairmanand otheroffice bearersofCentral Milk Societywill now be done only by elected chairpersons ofprimary milk societiesand delegates of primary societies will not be allowed in voting process.

Meanwhile, Mukesh Bohra took oath of office as new chairman of Nainital Dugdh Samiti on Monday, one of the largest milk societies in the state.

HC rejected a special appeal filed by Bharat Negi, a delegate of the primary society, challenging the election process. As per Uttarakhand Cooperative Societies (Amendment) Rules, now only chairpersons of primary societies can cast the vote to elect Central Milk Society.
