Dhaka, Aug. 22 -- Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the modern technology equipped new and third Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner Gaangchil of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at the VVIP Termninal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital today around 11:00 am.

After the inauguration ceremony, the aircraft will begin its commercial operations by flying the BG-027 flight to Abu Dhabi today at 5:30 pm.

Earlier on July 25, the third Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was added to the Biman's fleet raising the number of total aircraft to 15.

Dreamliner has 16 hours of nonstop flying capacity. It also requires 20 per cent less fuel compared to other aircraft.

Gaangchil has a seat capacity of 271, among which there are 24 seats in Business ...
