DHAKA, March 29 -- Bangladesh has extended the suspension of international flights to and from the country effective March 31 until April 7 in an effort to avoid further spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh made the announcement in a circular on March 28.

According to the statement, all scheduled international commercial passenger flights from Bahrain, Bhutan, Hong Kong, India, Kuwait, Malaysia, Maldives, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey and UAE will not be allowed to land at any international airport of Bangladesh during this period.

Also, any traveller who lived in or visited EU region and Iran since March 1 will not be allowed to enter Bangladesh until April 15...
