India, Nov. 3 -- Americans will decide the fate of incumbent President Donald Trump and former Vice President & Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden as the voting to choose the next President of the United States began on Tuesday.

The first ballots were cast in Dixville Notch and Millsfield, towns in the northeastern state of New Hampshire. Polling has also opened in New York, New Jersey, Virginia. Whereas, other states will open ballots early morning according to their time zones.

Either Trump or Biden must acquire over 50 per cent of the 538 electoral college vote. Therefore, each candidate must get a minimum of 270 electoral votes to win the presidency.
