New Delhi, June 23 -- At least 14 people were killed and several others injured on Sunday after a pandaal collapsed in Barmer district of Rajasthan.
The incident happened when several people were gathered for a religious event.
All the injured people were taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the pandaal collapsed as an unfortunate incident.
"Collapse of a 'Pandaal' in Rajasthan's Barmer is unfortunate. My thoughts are with the bereaved families and I wish the injured a quick recovery," PM Modi tweeted.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also expressed his condolences on the incident.
