INDIA, April 25 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday begins roadshow in his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, a day ahead of filing his nomination paper.

Modi began his journey from the iconic Banaras Hindu University (BHU), where he paid tribute at a statue of Madan Mohan Malviya.

The road show that began from the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) gate will pass through ancient temples and ghats before finally culminating at Dashashwamedh Ghat. Modi will also participate in evening aarti at this ghat on the banks of the river Ganga.

On Friday he will file his nomination papers.
