INDIA, April 25 -- Two terrorists were killed in an encounter early on Thursday in Bagender Mohalla of Bijbehara in South Kashmir's Anantnag district.
The gunfight began while security forces had been carrying out cordon and search operations after receiving specific inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.
Jammu and Kashmir police tweeted, "#Bijbehara #encounter update: 02 #terrorists killed in exchange of fire. Arms & ammunition recovered. Further details shall follow."
Police have recovered incriminating material including arms and ammunition from the site of encounter
