Iran fires ballistic missiles at Airbases housing US troops in Iraq
New Delhi, Jan. 8 -- Iran has launched more than a dozen ballistic missiles against airbases housing U.S. troops in Iraq, Pentagon said on Tuesday.
According to the reports, rockets were fired at multiple air bases.
There were no immediate reports on casualties.
Following reports of the attacks, White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said President Donald Trump has been briefed and is monitoring the situation closely.
"We are aware of the reports of attacks on US facilities in Iraq. The President has been briefed and is monitoring the situation closely and consulting with his national security team," Stephanie Grisham tweeted.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she was closely monitoring the situation.
