INDIA, April 19 -- Indian Police Service (IPS) association on Friday condemned the statement made by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Bhopal candidate Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur.
"Ashok Chakra awardee late Sri Hemant Karkare, IPS made the supreme sacrifice fighting terrorists. Those of us in uniform condemn the insulting statement made by a candidate and demand that sacrifices of all our martyrs be respected," IPS said in a statement.
Sadhvi while addressing a press conference in Bhopal on Thursday said that she had told Karkare that he will be finished and he was killed by terrorists in less than two months.
She said, "she cursed him and he died of his karma."
