New Delhi, Aug. 17 -- India on Friday said that the country's decision to scrap provisions of Article 370 that have special status to Jammu and Kashmir was an internal matter. India also said that Pakistan was trying to mislead the world.
The statement came after the UN Security Council held a closed-door meeting to discuss revocation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
India's envoy to United Nations, Syed Akbaruddin said that Article 370 has no external ramifications. "India's position was and remains that matter related to Article 370 of the Constitution is entirely an internal matter of India," Syed Akbaruddin said.
