Sri Lanka, Sept. 27 -- Drafting Desire is the latest collection of paintings by Sujith Rathnayake, one of the most reputed artists in Sri Lanka and is a series of works that pays homage to both the process and the joy of drafting. At a time when he feels that some of the fundamentals of the visual art skills are being overlooked in Sri Lanka, Sujith immerses himself in the natural rhythm, sound and feel of the drafting process. This exhibition is the result of his drafting jouissance.

The exhibition, now on at the Barefoot Gallery, will continue till October 10. The Sunday Observer recently spoke to Sujith Rathnayake about this exciting collection of art and his desire for painting.
