Sri Lanka, Jan. 12 -- Cash prizes totalling rupees one million and trophies will be presented to the winners at the 97th Open National Badminton Championship and the 37th Junior Championship 2019 to be played at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium from January 12 to 18.
These championships were to be held in November last year but was postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.
The Open category will conduct 24 events for men and women while there will be 18 events in the Junior Category. The Open singles events are for those under-23, over-35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 and 65 for men and women and doubles for men and women over-40, 45, 50, 60, 65 and 70.
