Sri Lanka, Jan. 5 -- Random doping tests are to be conducted on players contesting the on-going Dialog league rugby tournament from next week following a revelation that Sri Lanka and Kandy SC fullback Thilina Wijesinghe had been tested positive.

Wijesinghe, according to the director general of the Sri Lanka Anti Doping Agency (SLADA) Dr. Seevali Jayawickrema, was tested five months ago before the start of the league in November 2019 while preparing for an international match.

"We have so far not conducted any tests on players during the current League and will be testing them (in the Dialog league) from next week," said Dr. Jayawickrema.
