Sri Lanka, Jan. 12 -- Police Sports Club became the first team to qualify for the semi finals of the ongoing Vantage FA Cup Championship when they trounced Civil Security SC by five goals to two yesterday at the Sugathadasa stadium.
Three minutes in to the first half Civil Security got ahead when Nadeep Priyanka found the net to make it 1-0. They failed to hold on to this lead for long as Police SC's Ashan Siriwardena netted the equalizer in the tenth minute making the game more interesting for all present.
Police strikers were on the attack from there on which brought good results with Chathura Guneratne making no mistake with a free kick awarded to them just two meters away from the danger area levelling the score line 2-2.
