Sri Lanka, Aug. 18 -- The Office on Missing Persons (OMP) is scheduled to open its third regional office in Jaffna this week in a bid to make its services more accessible to families of the disappeared.

The OMP announced that its latest regional office will be opened at No. 124, Adiyapatham Road, Jaffna, on August 24, with Speaker of Parliament and Chairman of the Constitutional Council, Karu Jayasuriya gracing the event as chief guest.

The primary mandate of the OMP is to search and trace missing and disappeared persons.
