Sri Lanka, Oct. 13 -- Lasith Lakshan the opening batsman of Singer Sri Lanka became the first centurion in the MCA 'B' division 50-over League Cricket Tournament played on Wednesday (9).

Lasith Lakshan scored a classic run-a-ball 100 not out, which included two sixes and six fours. He was associated in a 107 runs opening stand with J. Sachin (31) in 130 balls that guided Singer to a comfortable 8 wickets win over CDB with more than 16 overs to spare.

An unbroken fourth wicket partnership of 90 runs in 47 balls between Sangeeth Cooray (81 not out in 75 balls with 2 sixes and 10 fours) and Nimanda Subasinghe (54 not out in 26 balls with 3 sixes and 8 fours) saw MAS Silueta clinch a seven wickets win over Pyramid Wilmer.
