Sri Lanka, April 11 -- For the first time Kandy will host an international cricket match without spectators when Sri Lanka take on Bangladesh in the first of a two-Test series behind closed doors as the authorities are still debating on allowing fans to once again witness matches due to the coronavirus.

It must be recalled that Indian cricket fans were able to witness their team play a Test match in Chennai in February against Australia.

Test cricket returns to Kandy after the Sri Lanka versus England Test played in November 2018.

The first Test between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be played from April 21 to 25 and the second Test from April 29 to May 3 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
