Sri Lanka, Jan. 5 -- Havelocks did well to beat a gallant Army SC by 25 points to 17 in their Dialog Rugby League encounter played at Welisara yesterday.
Havelocks scored three tries, two conversions and two penalties while Army scored three tries and a conversion.
Havelocks led by just 10 points to 7 at half time.
Havelocks scored first through a try by Asitha Punchihewa with Prince Chamara making the conversion within the first 23 minutes of the game. Havelocks increased the lead when they earned a penalty and Chamara once again kicked right to go 10-0 up.
Army struck back when Sachin Gamage scored a try in the 33rd minute and Gayan Salinda added the extra points.
