Sri Lanka, Dec. 6 -- Minister of Public Security Rear Admiral (Retd) Sarath Weerasekera said the Yahapalana Government had weakened the national intelligence service to a great extent and took action against intelligence officers based on bogus charges, claims and complaints so that the intelligence units had virtually collapsed. In an interview with the Sunday Observer, the Minister said that was the very reason for the brutal terrorist attacks on Easter Sunday.
