Singapore, Jan. 24 -- From smoky bak kwa and sweet pineapple tarts to spicy hae bee hiam and even abalone, familiar Chinese New Year treats and flavours have been turned into fun and festive cocktails at the latest pop-up concept by Junior The Pocket Bar.

The tiny bar in Tanjong Pagar, which is known for changing its theme every six months, is running the special month-long concept, called House of the Dancing Lion, till Feb 15.

Some of the 13 cocktails on the menu include Rolling for Prosperity (made with brown butter-infused rum, pineapple, baking spices and egg white, and served with a pineapple tart) and Fanning the Flames (made with whiskey, coffee vermouth, bak kwa bitters and served with charred chilli bak kwa).
