Singapore, Jan. 25 -- When it comes to different cuts of steak, Mr Wilson Xin, 37, is no stranger. The training manager used to fly overseas to hunt for the best fiorentina, tomahawk and wagyu steaks.

But that has changed since last November. After watching What The Health, a documentary on the health impact of a meat-based diet, the former steak fanatic cut meat out of his diet completely, including his favourite steaks.

"It has not been easy," Mr Xin told The Straits Times in a phone interview. "But with the meat replacements available nowadays, it's easier to satisfy that craving," he added, referring to plant-based alternatives such as Impossible Burgers and Beyond Meat.
